Arrived:: Cloud Nine

oh joy, oh beautiful wonderful day.

Before I recount the wonderful happening there's a some back info you need. I lost my Dad when I was 19 yrs old. Kiki, Jen and I ... aka my kin, all have a thing for hawks. When Hoop was alive he would always be pointing out the hawks in the sky it didn't matter if we were going 80 down the highway or drifting down the Wisconsin he had an eye. So now every time we see one it reminds us of Hoop.. it's like he's watching over us or saying hi. So this morning my uncle pointed out this beauty.
now someone a little more bird savvy might tell me this is an eagle.. and considering the fact that it's about to bring down and entire tree, I concede this is a ginormous hawk. So there it was in the early hours drying out it's winds, toppling a tree and waving me hello.
From there the day just got better... work was good and surprisingly engaging. Then I checked my email and I had this lovely tune play in my head "Congratulations on your sale at Etsy! You sold 1 item to ..." oh me oh my what a beautiful phrase and guess what. I was also on the front page of etsy this morning... . geepers! I'm on cloud nine.. I've been officially validated.
I love you too Hoop!

West Coast Mid Life Crisis

Currently in Cali.. running away from the Chicago tundra or maybe just running away altogether. Not much of a difference between here and there... I work all day, watch TV, and sleep at night. Even the weather isn’t cooperative.... the snowy sidewalk have merely been replaced by soggy buildings.

some pudding

So with nothing better to grab me, I’ve decide to look inward. Here are two things on my mind. ...
One: What do I want to be when I grow up... the more I say that stupid saying the more stupid it sound [note to self: stop using overworked cotton candy sayings]
Two: Building a five year plan.

So on that note I wanted to share some of my findings. There’s article on design resumes from
YouTheDesigner with links to examples and great HOW articles check it out here. I’ve also been using indeed ,which pulls listing from all the top career sites, to search for job postings, then connect the query to my reader. That way even with 20 different queries I can check out new job posting in every jazzy city just by reading my reader.

also been thinking it might be smart to check out the mentor program at work... . Good idea tinkerow... . thanks much I thought so too. [see what happens when you work from home]
