spontaneous dance off
My dream is to be caught in a spontaneous dance off. For a few luck souls the dream became reality. This is the fantastic new T-mobile advert which was filmed at 11am on Thursday 15th January 2009 at Liverpool Street station, London. Stuff like this makes me happy.

I love this video. I haven't tried to throw 50lbs of clay but I know it's a lot harder then Guy Wolff makes it look.

Nintendo coffee table from Kyle Downes on Vimeo.
I'm not a big fan of video games, although I have developed a love of rock band, but I did have the old Nintendo. What's not to love about this DIY Hack.

Sometime you just need to connect with the world, to hear the pitter patter of little keyboard keys.. that's when hotspotr comes in handy. Enjoy!
The Plunge
So here I am, diving into the big blue web… sink or swim. Much of my time has been spent planning and plotting this moment … finally the procrastinating has seceded, giving way to action. Rockets Away! So there’s nowhere to go but up up up up.
A snapshot of my current state of mind goes a little something like this.. Currently I’m high off Craft fumes, and elated to be selling a few of my ceramic jewelry pieces on Etsy.

I adore the trinkets that have emerged and even more proud that they made it to the web amongst the other amazing talents on Etsy. Currently I’m repurposing existing moulds, using them in unexpected ways to create lovely objects. This initial line serviced my goal to enter the Etsy stage and I’m looking forward to the next step in the journey. On the other side of the fence, There’s a rumbling of fear and feeling of instability, mostly bc I’m unsure what to expect from my day job. Case in point…
Other than that I enjoy my days and try to make the most of each. Chicago is a great place to live if you love Design and Food. Check YES on both counts. And favorite of all meals is Brunch, and no one does it better then Flo’s. Shout Out! On the Design side much of 2008 was spent educating myself on the craft culture here in Chicago. Developing my sewing, mold making skills and gobbling up all the blogs I could find. During my education I was never sure where the road would lead, but as I make my way through this process the fog is lifting a silhouette of what’s to come is forming. My hope is this blog will become a vehicle of sorts down that road and it will keep me accountable, giving breath to my goals, and focused to my footsteps.
Cheers and thanks for stopping by.
